Join us as we walk and clean up the Baldwin Loop two-mile walking path in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Pawtucket. We will pick up trash, clean up gardens, and make notes of where we might be able to plant trees in the future.

We have gloves and bags but feel free to bring your own as we do not know how many volunteers will show up. Snacks will be provided.

We will gather at The Empowerment Factory at 12:00pm in the Hope Artiste Village. Then get into teams and each team will take up a small section of the 2 mile path.

All ages and abilities welcome. This is also a perfect event for people that need community service hours.

Meet at The Empowerment Factory - Hope Artiste Village at 999 Main Street, Suite 707, Pawtucket, RI.

The Empowerment Factory's mission is to positively impact the community. We are a 501 c 3  non-profit dedicated to giving children the skills they need to lead happier, healthier and more empowered lives. The organization focuses on three areas of development: creativity, self-esteem and civic pride. Its project-based approach encourages a balanced combination of individual thinking, peer interaction,  teamwork and creativity.

At the heart of The Empowerment Factory is the "Creative Squad",  we also have We have also developed two other programs called "Trash to Treasures"  and "Reading Makes a Difference Empowerment Program".

The Creative Squad programming combines literacy, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), environmental education and  creative projects that encourage young children to develop the skills they need to positively self express themselves, work as a team, stay positive and persistent in a fun and engaging way.

Trash to Treasures is about making art from recycled materials while empowering the youth to find ways they can make a difference being a community hero and having civic pride in their world.

"Reading Makes a Difference Empowerment Program" is a program that encourages reading while teaching about empathy.  The children read and earn books and dolls that are given to young cancer patients at local hospitals. It promotes literacy and empathy.  We have also piloted this program to have many creative projects that include writing, puppet making, kindness card making, dancing and happiness wands.

Since 2014 The Empowerment Factory has positively impacted over 3700 urban youth with the creation of 34 after-school clubs and 11 summer programs.

Donations help us reach, teach and inspire more children.
