After a long, cold Fall and Winter of eating lots of meaty and cheesy pasta recipes, it’s time to, well, keep eating pasta! In this class, cookbook author Dan Pelosi will teach you to cook three different recipes that all embrace pasta’s lesser-known seasons: Spring and Summer. The recipes taught in this class will help you embrace produce available at your local farmer’s market. You will leave feeling confident to make these dishes again, or riff on them to make them your own. With easy to find ingredients, approachable cooking instruction, and thoughtful techniques, this class is for home cooks of any level. Bring your mom! Bring your sister! Let’s make a mess and welcome the Spring harvest together!

  • Spaghetti Al Limone
  • Herb Butter Pasta
  • Surprise Pasta (to be revealed in the class!)

This demonstration class (plus lunch) is limited to ten people.

At HGS Home Chef (HGS referring to Hillsdale General Store, our founding business across the street) we have two beautiful teaching kitchens. Within these inviting rooms, nationally renowned cookbook authors and local chefs present instruction and demonstrations preparing delicious food, simple to sublime.

 

HGS Home Chef is contained within a historic 1870's Victorian house that has been completely and lovingly restored to its original charm, filled with brightness, color and light. Our teaching kitchen on the first floor is dedicated to hands-on classes and demonstrations. Our fully-equipped kitchen upstairs has an adjoining dining room making it ideal for private classes or special occasions to be shared with your family and friends.

(1) Cooking class attendees receive discount on kitchenware purchases on class day.

(2) Classes are geared to adults unless otherwise noted. However, children over 7 are welcome to attend with an accompanying adult.
