Overdose Education & Narcan Training

The HIV/HCV Resource Center is hosting a training session where participants will learn how to respond to an overdose emergency by learning when and how to administer Narcan, a medication that can reverse opioid overdoses. The session will also cover the basics of opioids and drug poisoning, provide free Narcan for participants and those at risk, and encourage the development of a personal Overdose Response Plan (safety plan). Additionally, the training will explore the concept of "harm reduction," a strategy that aims to reduce the negative consequences associated with substance use.
This event is free and open to the public.
