About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Outside the Wire is a multi-format humanities project that highlights the narratives and experiences of American veterans throughout the country’s history of conflict. This year, we have explored the diverse ways veterans, active duty service members, and their families have responded to and been impacted by grief.

At this event, we'll have a reading from featured authors published in this year's Outside the Wire Literary Exhibit, as well as an opportunity for audience members to share their own written work in an open mic format.

This event will be held in-person in the Rutgers-Camden Campus Center, West AB Conference Room. The location is accessible via an elevator.

Outside the Wire is supported in part by an Action Grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities.
