Hosted at Snap Inc. headquarters in Santa Monica and supported by the Snap Foundation, the 2025 Otis College Report on the Creative Economy launch event will begin with a networking reception, followed by a presentation of key research findings by Westwood Economics and Planning Associates, and an overview of the latest updates to the Otis Creative Economy dashboard. The program will also include an engaging panel discussion, Design Hub L.A.: Powering the Creative Economy, with Q&A on Los Angeles’s role as a global design capital. Moderated by Frances Anderton, Writer, Broadcaster, and Curator, the panel will include:

  • Barbara Bestor, Founder & Principal, Bestor Architecture
  • Chris Down, EVP, Chief Design Officer, Mattel, Inc.
  • Dana Flowers, Senior Creative Lead, Movies and Series, Amazon MGM Studios
  • Jackson George, EVP/Head of Brand Creative, Disney+ and Co-head of Creative Marketing, Walt Disney Studios


Note: The networking reception starts at 9 a.m., followed by the launch event at 10 a.m. RSVP is required for the in-person launch event and admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow for parking and check-in with Snap headquarters security.
