Join Peruvian-Venezuelan artist Roy Fitz through a meditation process using the arts of drawing and folding. The Japanese word, “origami” is a combination of two words in Japanese: “ori” which means “to fold” and “kami” which means “paper”. …

Traditionally, it was believed that if one folded 1000 origami cranes, one’s wish would come true. It has also become a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times.

During this workshop, we’ll use meditation, folding, and drawing to create artwork reflecting on our healing and hope experiences. Participants can expect to create a genuinely unique hand-held piece of art.

Materials needed can usually be found in our home!
