One Hundred Years of Solitude | Gabriel José de la Concordia García Márquez

“An irresistible work of storytelling, mixing the magic of the fairy tale, the realistic detail of the domestic novel and the breadth of the family saga.”—New York Times

One Hundred Years of Solitude is a classic novel known throughout the world. One of the 20th century’s enduring works of art, it is the ultimate achievement in a Nobel Prize-winning career.

The story of the village of Macondo, as seen through the lives of the Buendia family, is told with Marquez’s trademark mastery of magical realism. Alternately reverential and comical, One Hundred Years of Solitude weaves the political, personal and spiritual to bring a new consciousness to storytelling. No less than an accounting of the history of the human race, the novel has been translated into dozens of languages, making it a classic of truly global proportions.

Oxford Commons is a hospitality company built upon a foundation of dreamers and doers, with a mission to create spaces that foster fellowship, humility, exploration, and curation.

On September 24, 2012, we opened the doors to our first concept, Oxford Exchange in Tampa, Florida. Oxford Exchange is a place where community happens. We didn’t tell our patrons how to use the space, they simply did. And when they did, they made it their own.

Since then, Oxford Commons has opened spaces unique to the cities they are in and the people who they are for. Our family of brands has expanded to include The Library, The Stovall House, The Current Hotel, Oxford Design Studio, and Oxford Creative Studio.
