Have you ever felt misunderstood by your neurotypical boss or co-workers? Does your workplace do a poor job at accommodating you? Do you wish the people around you understood just how much work and effort you have to put into showing up to work, let alone doing your job? Then this group is for you.
Emily Walsh, autistic adult, licenced professional counselor - associate at Palmetto Therapist and faciltator of the Autism Social Spectrum of Columbia, is hosting a lunch group for neurodivergent professionals. This group will meet the second Friday of every month from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm virtually. It will be an open group, which means people can join at any time. The group will be caped at 10 clients per session. There will be a monthly topic providing psychoeducation or skills training with time for us to share personal experiences.
Securing a ticket through Eventbrite will enable us to reach out to you and make sure that this group is a good fit for you. Getting a ticket is not an automatic acceptance into the group. You must speak with Emily to verify information, and get signed up through our practice's platform, in order to officially join the group. This will also give you an opportunity to ask Emily any questions you may have about the group!
