The NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) presents this free online M/WBE Mentors program event for our New York City-certified Construction and construction-related Minority- and/or Woman-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs):

Subcontracting and Financing: Build Your Construction M/WBE's Capacity for NYC Contracting

Construction M/WBEs - Looking to pursue contracts with or already attempting to do business with NYC agencies? This M/WBE Mentors event will provide you with some best practices and tips for building your business' capacity to be able to successfully perform on City contracts.

M/WBE Mentors will share their insights, expertise and recommendations for building capacity for government contracting through subcontracting and accessing capital. Hiring subcontractors is a crucial strategy for companies vying for NYC contracts. Our M/WBE Mentors will share experiences both from the perspective of being subcontractors to prime vendors themselves and hiring subcontractors such as M/WBEs like you.

By bringing specialized expertise and partnering with larger prime vendors, you can expand your capacity, gain government contracting experience, and enhance your proposal's appeal to NYC agencies. By hiring subcontractors, you can take advantage of capabilities you might not have, and pursue larger or new opportunities.

And while City Agency projects are an excellent opportunity to grow your business, cash flow challenges can hinder your success. Don't miss out on these opportunities because of financial challenges! Find out how NYC can help you access tailored financing solutions with lower financing costs that improve your cash flow.

Before the panel discussion from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., attend the networking session with your M/WBE peers to build relationships and share insights. Get tips for making the most of the pre-event networking session here.

After our M/WBE Mentor panel discussion, attendees will be able to speak directly with the Mentors and guest panelists in small groups - and to network with other attending M/WBEs.
