In this class, we will explore movement and touch in the context of rope, with the objective of becoming intentional with how we move, and conscious of how we use touch/pressure to initiate movement with/in rope. We explore this with the intent to be present with each other, and deepen connection.
The class will include:
- Exercises to increase body awareness, to make intentional choices around movement and touch
- Exploration of interpersonal energies with rope
- Body handling/manipulation
- Exploration of how to generate movement with rope
- Tips on rope handling for smoother tying and untying
- Active bottoming
- Exercises for dynamic unstructured and structured tying.
Perspectives will be shared both from the top and bottom’s point of view.
Pre-requisites: the ability to tie any structured upper body harness
