The MED Instead of Meds Classes will help you go Med by exploring 7 simple steps to eating the Med Way:

-Change Your Protein.

-Swap Your Fats.

-Eat More Vegetables.

-Eat More Fruit.

-Snack on Nuts and Seeds.

-Make Your Grains Whole.

-Rethink Your Sweets.


Classes include instruction, hands on food preparation, and taste-testing at the end.


The MED Instead of Meds series will be offered Friday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (May 2, 16, 23, 30) located at the Extension Educaiton Annex across from the Rock Gym (699B Connahetta St. in Murphy, NC).


Registration: There is a registration fee of $40. This fee covers information, materials, and tastings. Please plan to attend all 4 sessions, as seats are limited. All participants must register before classes begins.
