Come join us for the second workshop in our signature series - Foundations in Maker-Centered Learning where participants will experience Agency by Design Oakland’s special sauce that combines research backed frameworks from both MCL and CRT (culturally responsive teaching) increasing student engagement and deepening content knowledge.


In this highly interactive 2-hour session, you will:

  • Use several thinking routines that support agency, curiosity, collaboration, and systems-thinking
  • Engage in hands-on activities that model how thinking routines can be incorporated into various academic areas
  • Learn how to adapt these routines to different age groups and content areas, making them applicable to your unique teaching context.
