About this event

  • Event lasts 4 hours

At War Horse Forge, veterans, active duty military, and first responders learn blacksmithing skills using traditional techniques. Our programs are located on our farm in Stafford, Virginia.

In this class, you will forge a heavy-duty hook from a railroad spike, horseshoe, or metal square stock. You can use the hook in your garage or barn to hold a shovel, garden hose, tools, or extension cord. The uses are limitless!

The class is limited to 8 people. Each attendee needs to register individually and must be at least 18 years old.

The only fee is $25 to register for the class. Upon completion of the class, you can choose to have your $25 refunded (minus Eventbrite fees)or donate it to War Horse Forge. We hope this nominal (and refundable) fee will ensure those who sign-up for a class do show up as we often have waitlists. If this fee is a hardship, please let us know (540/538-7453).

War Horse Forge is the blacksmithing program of our nonprofit 19Hands Inc. We offer free hands-on programs to veterans, active duty military, first responders, and their supporters.
