This will be a carpool trip looking primarily for Common Loons, unusual gulls, and migrant water birds, around Chain O'Lakes and a few large inland lakes around north-eastern Illinois. Participants will meet with the trip leader at 8:30 am at the Gale Street Inn Restaurant parking lot, 935 N Diamond Lake Rd, Mundelein, IL 60060. We'll gather at the northern end of the parking lot (next to the Carpet place) on the east side of Diamond Lake Road, across from the Mundelein Boat Launch. The trip will end at approximately 2:30 pm with lunch at the Sandbar on Lake Marie (40870 N Douglas Ave, Antioch, IL 60002).

Trip Leader: Dave Johnson

Bring your own binoculars and scope, if you have one. Leader will have a spotting scope to share.

Free for Illinois Ornithological Society members, $20 for non-members.
