Course Information
Lookout Mountain
One of the most famous golf architects in history, Seth Raynor's work is known for being bold and strategic. His work at Lookout Mountain was no different, but the course has the added element of being situated...on top of a mountain. This scenic setting not only provides views as far as the eyes can see but adds a dramatic element to Raynor's design. Instead of hitting a shot into a Redan green, you're hitting a shot down a mountain at a Redan green. It's an experience you have to live.
What makes Lookout Mountain even more of a must-see is the recent restoration work performed by Tyler Rae and Kyle Franz. Seth Raynor's original plan was still in tact and used as the guiding light for the restoration, a rarity in restoration work. The result is a course that is as jaw dropping as ever and filled with the bold slopes Raynor was known for.
