LOL in Queen City

- Smart-guided Long One-way Loop Bike Tour Cincinnati OH

The Queen City has stuff to see and bikeways to see it with! This tour takes you through the woods, over the rivers, and through the city.

Community bikeway cycle tours do not get much better than this. Cincinnati neighborhoods, scenic parks, nicely designed bikeways, historical places, and great spots along the way for selfie pictures (it is, after all, a Selfie Tour)

There are many great reasons to visit Queen City, Cincinnati, Ohio. This tour will get your wheels onto the growing cycling infrastructure of this historical, magnificent city on the Ohio River. Never see the same thing twice on a Long One-way Loop (LOL) Selfie Tour - except for the starting spot. If you are feeling adventurous, easily add miles to the route by detouring on any number of nearby points of interest (see the list, below)

The LOL Selfie Tour starts where it ends near a dog park (bring yours, if you wish - the tasty midway stop is dog friendly). Queen City is putting in an extensive effort to create a city-wide bikeway system. The Crown is one such massive effort. Its goal is a 35-mile dedicated bikeway inner city loop with a "100+ mile active transportation network" - to learn more, click here. Their vision resembles this tour route, except for the missing proposed bikeways. Nevertheless, great minds think alike and the tour gives the rider a rough facsimile of Cincinnati's future Crown.

The 39-mile smart-guided route is 65% bikeway and comes with CycleNuts' 50% downhill guarantee. More than half of the route is dedicated bikeways and bike lanes that follow the lay of the land, which is hilly. Your bike's gears will see use. E-bikes are appropriate for this smart-guided tour. The route is shaded about 50% of the way. Sweating is optional. You set the pace, starting time, and touring agenda with Selfie Tours.

Air pump. Wrench kit. Cycle lock. Water. Energy bar. Funds for refreshment breaks and emergencies. Sun screen. Pest repellent.

Recommended Preparation – Pre-check (before you load that bike for transport to the starting spot) brakes, tire pressure, lights, and rideability. Consider what you are wearing on tour and what you may need for changing weather conditions.
