About this event
For the 30th year, the Lewes Chamber of Commerce and the British Car Club of Delaware are partnering to host the Lewes British Motorcar Show. This popular show held in Historic Lewes, Delaware offers British car owners a chance to show off their classic and future classic cars, network with fellow British car enthusiasts, and fans of British cars the opportunity to admire and talk with car owners in the picturesque setting of the Lewes Ferry Terminal grounds next to the Delaware Bay. The show concludes with a parade through town, lead by the winning cars.
This year's Featured Marques are Rolls Royce & Bentley
In addition to the display of cars, the show features a DJ playing British music, a 50/50 Raffle, a Raffle Table with themed baskets, British-themed items, car related items and the Daughters of the British Empire selling British baked goods. Adjacent to the show field in the Ferry Terminal are dining and drinking options: Lewes Coffe Co Cafe and Grain on the Rocks Bar & Restaurant. More dining options can be found just moments away in town, and this is the weekend of the Lewes Merchants' Spring Sidewalk Sale.

Saturday, May 3 • Car Show & Parade - Rain or Shine
- 8:30 am - Car check in begins - Field opens for the parking of cars.
- 10:30 am - ALL cars mucy be on the field by this time ! Judging begins.
- 11:00 am - Gates open for Spectators
- 1:30 pm - Raffle drawings
- 2:00 pm - Winners announced
- 2:30 pm - Begin lining up winners for the parade into town for the Trophy Presentation. All other cars are invited to join the parade behind the winners.
REGISTRATION
Entry fee per car $35.00 + Eventbrite fees = $39.19
Entry Fee includes:
- Admission to the show for the driver and one passenger/guest
- Dash plaque

Registration opens March 3, 2025 @ 10:00 am
Registration closes when the field is full or at midnight on April 20, 2025
Complete a separate registration for each car you are entering in the show
NO day of show registrations
There are two entry categories - Featured Marque and British Car. Rolls & Bentley owners should puchase the Featured Marque ticket. All other makes of cars should purchase the British Car ticket.
The field is limited to 120 cars.
All Featured Marques, registering by April 20, will be added to the field.
A waitlist will be established for British Car entrants. As space becomes available on the field, priority will be given to waitlisted car makes with the fewest number in a class.
Waitlisted registrants will have 3 days to respond to the Eventbrite notification that space is available and to complete payment.

JUDGING
- Judging is conducted by two teams of local dignitaries and car club members (not displaying a car). The Best In Show is selected by a team of knowledgeable car club members based on the nominations of each team.
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Best In Show trophies are awarded.
- Entrants can opt out of judging, their windshield display card will read "DISPLAY ONLY"
- Day of show car substitutions will be "DISPLAY ONLY" entries.
- The previous year's Best In Show is not eliblible to receive an award, it will be a "DISPLAY ONLY" entry.
- Entrants must parcipate in the Winner's Parade to recieve their trophy.
MEET & GREET RECEPTION
- Friday, May 2nd from 5:00 - 7:00pm
- Wheelhouse Restaurant - 7 Anglers Rd. Lewes, DE
- Reception held on the 2nd floor
- Open to registered entrants and their guests along with club members
- Cash bar
- Serve yourself Appetizer Bar - Courtesy of the British Car Club of Delaware
- Parking available at the restaurant
- A printable flyer for this event will be emailed to registered entrants on April 25th
SPECTATOR INFORMAITON
- $5 admission (cash)

WAIVER OF LIABILITY
I am aware of the hazards inherent with motor vehicle events and specifically release and do indemnify the organizers, supporting sponsors, the British Car Club Delaware, Inc. and the Lewes Chamber of Commerce, collectively and separately, from all liability from personal injury or property damage incurred by me or any guests while participating in the Lewes British Motorcar Show 2025.
I understand and agree that the British Car Club Delaware, Inc. reserves the right to revoke my registration and retain my registration fee should I engage in reckless, dangerous, and/or unsafe behavior.
I am aware that there is no rain date and that no refunds will be given.

Frequently asked questions
Typically the show sells out within the first 2 to 3 weeks of registration.
Eventbrite will ask if you wish to be added to a waitlist once a category of cars is at capacity. Notifications are sent when you are added to the waitlist and when space is available. On average, we have 2-6 spaces open up for waitlisted cars each year. You will have 3 days to claim a space.
If you are traveling to and from the show and are a registered entrant, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry offers a discounted fare. Details available after April 15th. Email lewesbritishcarshow@gmail.com - Ferry Discount in the subject line, please.

Space for trailer parking, the day of the show, is available at the terminal. NO overnight trailer parking on the Ferry property is permitted. If staying at a local hotel, you will need to check with them about the availability of trailer parking at their location.
Yes, substitutions are acceptable, however day of the show substitutions will not be eligible for judging.
In the event of severe weather, notification of the show's cancellation will be emailed to registered entrants the Wednesday evening prior tot he show.
NO, the field has an irrigation system, so no stakes of any kind can be driven into the field. Additionally, there is not space on the field for canopies in order to maximize the number of cars displayed.
