In the lead up to the American Revolution, the Massachusetts Provincial Congress called for the creation of a provincial army to oppose British Regular forces in Boston. The Provincial Congress knew that a successful army required not just men, but an incredible amount of supplies. Concord appointed Colonel James Barrett and Captain Jonas Heywood as supply masters to handle all the warlike stores amassed prior to April 19.
Join Antiques Roadshow-featured expert Joel Bohy as he explores the story of these two men and the important work they did to make the American Revolution successful.
After the lecture, Joel will be available to sign the newly released book Bullet Strikes From the First Day of the American Revolution by Joel Bohy and Douglas Scott.
This lecture is free and open to the public; registration is required due to limited capacity. The book signing is free and open to the public; no registration is required.
