Reset Your Nervous System with TRE (Tension Releasing Exercises)

Feeling stressed out? Join us for an online TRE session to release tension and reset your nervous system. Learn 7 simple exercises to help your body naturally shake off stress and trauma. The physical exercises safely activate a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. We will stretch and engage the feet, legs, up to the upper torso. No experience is needed, bring an open mind and a willingness to let go. This is an online event. You will be participating via Zoom.

This class is traditional TRE, as designed by the founder David Bercelli. We start with a physical exercise practice, then floor work for the neurogenic tremors. New and returning students are welcome.

Frequently asked questions

Who should not do TRE

Individuals who have physical or psychological/psychiatric conditions that require strict regulation, individuals with fragile psychological defenses, a complex history of trauma or restricting physical or medical limitations should consult their medical practitioner or a Certified TRE Provider.

Can I show up late?

Exercises build upon one another. Please arrive on time for the full experience. The class closes 10 minutes after the designated start time. We start on time.

What to wear and what to have for class

Please wear brighter, comfortable clothing you can lay down in for extended periods of time. Skirts are not advised. For the floor portion of the exercises, please have a sticky mat (yoga mat) and a blanket for extra padding. We will be using a wall for some of the exercises. Have good lighting.

Will I need to be on camera

Due to the nature of tension-releasing exercises, participants are required to have the camera turned on.
