About this event

  • Event lasts 8 hours

At this workshop, you will learn about the concepts of Lean Manufacturing and how to apply them. During the simulation exercises – as a member of the production team for Buzz Electronics – attendees will apply Lean concepts such as Standardized Work, Visual Signals, Point of Use Storage, Line Balancing, Batch-Size Reduction, Pull Systems, Kanban, Workplace Organization, 5S, Cellular, Single Piece Flow, and more. They will experience firsthand how Lean Manufacturing improves quality, reduces cycle time, improves delivery performance, minimizes Work-in-Process (WIP) – and, enables Buzz Electronics to show a profit!

Participants will leave the workshop with a functional knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing. They will be able to transfer this knowledge, with confidence, in practical and applicable ways to their own manufacturing environments.
