About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

In this hour and a half program, Ashley Weckbacher will lead parents and children through the process of storytelling that will allow them to collaborate on creating picture books written and illustrated by the preschooler. The program will empower children in their storytelling and imagination, while giving parents tools to help them ask the right kind of questions to stimulate creativity.

Ashley is an experienced lead toddler teacher with a history of curriculum development and programming for adults and children that focuses on process and exploration more than outcome. She is also an agented fiction writer and graduate of the Grub Street Novel Incubator, a graduate-level yearlong writing intensive. She brings years of tutoring and essay coaching focused on helping others tell their own stories in a way that feels authentic and true to them and a strong foundation in early education.
