About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join KalaSalon for #fearlessconversation about democracy with members of Indivisible Greater Kalamazoo, a local chapter of the national Indivisible organization. Indivisible seeks to cultivate and lift up a grassroots movement in support of real democracy – of, by, and for the people. From a humble meeting of 12 folks at a library in January, Indivisible Greater Kalamazoo has grown to over 200 people strong, with more joining every day. Learn why people who feel an urgent need to get involved at this moment of constitutional crisis are finding a home in Indivisible groups nationwide, what the Indivisible Guide is all about, and how to join the movement. Free! All are welcome! LIMITED SEATING, PLEASE RSVP FOR HEAD COUNT.

We're a Kalamazoo-based conversational group, a modern version of the salons of 16th-century Europe. Free, open to all, and devoted to Fearless Conversation. KalaSalon is a space to move beyond small talk, build connections, listen, learn, and process big ideas – in a welcoming, respectful atmosphere. We're very informal; there's no pressure to speak. Introverts welcome!
