UCLA Law School 2025 - Connecting Art and Law for Liberation (CALL)
Connecting Art and Law for Liberation (CALL) is an art and law festival hosted at UCLA School of Law. Started in 2019, CALL’s mission is to bring together the UCLA community and the general public to challenge mass incarceration and collectively build a world without prisons, policing, and surveillance. To achieve this vision, CALL invites scholars, students, activists, advocates, artists, and those who have been incarcerated and directly impacted by the criminal legal system to share innovative, cutting-edge projects using various art mediums.
The 2025 CALL Festival will take place on Saturday, April 19. Over the course of the day, we plan to host several workshops, film/video screenings, and discussion panels that connect art and law. These sessions will incorporate the festival’s themes of (1) ending mass incarceration; (2) envisioning and imagining abolition; and (3) restorative and transformative justice. You can find more information about CALL at our website, uclacalltoaction.com.
