Season 18 - Next up: John Proulx & Alyssa Allgood! That's right - John Proulx is back for his 18th time to JazzVox (we love him!). As is tradition, he brings a new duo partner with him every year and this season it's the fabulous Alyssa Allgood! Named a “Rising Star Female Vocalist” in the 2024 Downbeat Magazine Critics Poll, vocalist and composer Alyssa Allgood stands out as a bold and compelling voice in the modern jazz landscape. Described as “assured and daring” by Downbeat and acknowledged for her “force, clarity and jazz integrity” by the New York City Jazz Record, Allgood weaves soulful storytelling and rich improvisational language through original compositions, captivating arrangements, and a lyrical focus of self-love and human connection. Of course you know John Proulx is a first call pianist (used to play for Natalie Cole and currently often is on keys for Ann Hampton Callaway), vocalist and composer. Looking forward to hearing what magic these two stellar vocalists cook up in April!

Refund policy: Due to the intimate nature of these events, Up to 7 days before the concert, you may cancel and request a refund. Within 7 days, please feel free to find someone to come (instead of you) and email/text me to change the name on the guest list. As it gets close to the concert, it is difficult to get the word out to find potential replacement concertgoers / adjust for food preparation / etc. Note: Eventbrite fees are not refundable.
Other thoughts: Food is provided (think more than nibbles but less than an all you can eat buffet). New this year, I'm asking homeowners to pull (new) plates about 15 mins before the performance so people are finished and we focus on the performance. Affordable beverages also provided - have a personal favorite? Bring it with you and share if you'd like! Allergic to cats? Have handicapable needs? Ask Nich about the specific home. Ages 14+ only please (and under 18 accompanied by an adult). Please arrive odor neutral - colognes/perfumes can overwhelm some concertgoers. Other questions? Let me know! You will receive the address to the home from Eventbrite via email immediately after payment (look way down in the email under Additional Information). I will also send out a reminder email with information about 1-3 days before the event (which will come from Eventbrite).
You are certainly welcome to bring a beverage of choice for yourself / to add, but it is not required. Food (think heavy appetizers but short of an all you can eat buffet) and beverages provided at doors (one hour before the performance).
A few seats are saved aside by the promoter / home owner / artists but most are first come. Not a bad seat though due to the limited (by design) capacity. Everyone will have a place for your booty.
