Introduction to Strength Training for Women 40+

Women are getting bombarded with the message to start strength training, and for good reason! It can have a significant impact on your metabolic health, mental health and can decrease frailty as we age. The problem is, how do you start? What does it entail? What is a good program?

In a welcoming and safe environment, we will review why strength training is essential to aging well. What to look for in a good program, whether an online program you follow at home, at a gym, or with a personal trainer. When you leave, you will understand what is involved in making this lifestyle change and how to take the next steps. We will not lift weights but do a group foam roll and warm up together, so wear comfortable clothes.

In our heart of hearts, we believe strength training can change your life for the better! We aren't pushing any particular program but sharing what we have learned over decades of shared experience.
