About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Intrepid hiker and camper Eden Sabala will lead an introductory overview of how you can get into hiking and camping. She will go over the basics on gear to get started, cover the 10 essentials (and explain what they are), and how to pick a hike (terrain, distance, elevation gain, understanding difficulty levels). Eden will also cover the basics of camping and what gear to look for when starting out. She will have plenty of examples set up so you can get a feel for what to look for. Join us for this in person session at Henry Got Crops Farm, located at 7095 Henry Ave, Philadelphia PA 19144 from 11am - 12:30pm.

Eden Sabala is a lifelong hiker with over 20 years of experience on the trails. From hiking in the great plains of the Midwest to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and Canada to the northern mountains of Appalachia and to the Pacific Northwest. Her favorite time to hike is in the winter and below 35F, and her favorite type of hike is on mountain ridgelines and in the pines.
