Interwoven: Torrey Pines State Reserve
Come connect with nature, engage your senses, alleviate stress, anxiety, depression, boost your creativity and sharpen your focus! We will walk up through the trails of Torrey Pines State Reserve and then stroll back on the beach. During this time we will tune in to the sensations of being in nature, while we take one step at a time, and enjoy the view!
Along the beach are many rock that are calming and soothing. We will find one and when we return we will learn how to wrap it or paint a repeating pattern on it.
Rock wrapping is an art form rooted in Japanese tradition. Wrapped stones could be used in Japanese gardens to guide visitors along a prescribed route or the correct spiritual path. Today, there are many variations of rock wrapping using many different materials. For this workshop, attendees will learn a method of rock wrapping to create your own serenity stone or paint a repeating pattern on the rock.
Please invite a friend within the Special Operations Community who is new to The Station.
No previous experience is necessary and participants will have access to an online community of support throughout the program.
