Bio:

Damont Combs, known on stage as Mr. Orange Live, is a celebrated award-winning poet, arts educator, and community leader dedicated to fostering artistic expression and social change. As the Executive Director of Tell Your Truth, a nonprofit organization, he provides platforms for artists to share their stories authentically. In his role as Program Director for Poetry Out Loud, Damont inspires youth to find their voices through spoken word, nurturing the next generation of poets.


With multiple poetry collections to his name, Damont’s work explores themes of resilience, social justice, and community empowerment. He performs regularly, leads creative workshops, and actively builds a vibrant arts community to support emerging talent.


A recipient of numerous accolades, Damont was honored with the Indie Author Legacy Award as National Poet of the Year and received Rhode Island’s State Citation for his community work. His influence extends beyond the arts; as an independent researcher, he explores the frontiers of quantum mechanics, time travel, and artificial intelligence, embodying a rare blend of artistic and intellectual curiosity.


Through his artistic work as Mr. Orange Live and his groundbreaking research, Damont continues to inspire others, creating a more inclusive and expressive world.
