About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

We celebrate the life and legacy of Savannah Jazz legend, Ben Tucker, in this film, “In Tune” originally premiered in September 2017 at the Savannah Jazz Festival. The film features interviews with Ben’s friends and colleagues as well as critical background on his profound footprint in the world of jazz and in the hearts of all who knew him.

Ben died tragically in 2013 when a speeding motorist struck his golf cart on Hutchinson Island; twelve years later, we still – and always – remember Ben. Join us for this heartwarming remembrance of Ben Tucker, most widely known for his hit, Coming Home Baby. He is locally known as the owner of the once-great jazz club, Hard Hearted Hannah’s, and as one of the men who revived jazz in Savannah in the late 1980’s.
