Immersive Drawing Experience Marathon: Community Painting, “Minuteman in Wonderland”

Saturday, 2–8 PM | Timed Entry – 1.5-Hour Sessions

Decision fatigue in the attention economy is real. We invite you to elongate your focus and de-frack your mind. Listen to vibrational soundscapes, engage your hands in repetitive work, and experience the flow state in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Join us for a special version of our Immersive Drawing Experience, where art, mindfulness, and community converge in a creative marathon. Over six hours, we will collectively trace and paint an intricate artwork “Minuteman in Wonderland” by local MA artist, Mike Sprague, culminating in a striking community-made painting.

This timed-entry event allows individuals or groups to participate in 1.5-hour guided sessions. The first phase, two seatings (2-3:30 PM and 3:30-5 PM) focuses on tracing and detailing the composition, followed by the “coloring phase” one seating (5:30–8 PM), a structured yet intuitive process akin to paint-by-numbers. No artistic experience needed, just a willingness to focus and create.

Limited spots available! Limited spots are available! Reserve your time slot and join this unique creative movement. Each seating is for eight people and lasts 1.5 hours. Individual tickets or get a group together.

What to Expect

  • Collaborative Artwork: Participants will collectively bring this painting to life using acrylic markers, and paints on a prepared canvas
  • A Mindful Creative Practice: The rhythmic, repetitive drawing process is enhanced by a live soundscape featuring singing bowls and vibrational music, promoting focus and relaxation.
  • A Living Tribute to Community & History: The final painting, aptly titled Minuteman in Wonderland, commemorates the spirit of a community that fought for democracy over 250 years ago.
  • Public Display & Auction: Upon completion, the artwork will be exhibited in downtown Concord before being auctioned off, with a portion of proceeds supporting Art for All’s community arts programming.

This event is an opportunity to slow down, immerse yourself in the act of making, and connect with others through art. Think of it as yoga for the mind—an exercise in focus, flow, and creativity.

By purchasing a ticket to participate in the creation of Minuteman in Wonderland, you acknowledge that this experience is a guided meditative focus exercise and a collective art-making event. Participation does not confer any rights to the final artwork or its reproduction. All rights to the image remain exclusively with the event organizers.
