The San Francisco Company is an Intellectual Property Startup hosting a new series of Ideathons across the globe. These events encourage teams to come tackle a surprise prompt in exchange for free patenting services. Participants will be answering prompts regarding necessary innovation while building a case for potential investors all in the same packet. Computers and phones are allowed. Sessions allow up to three hours of work time, but teams can submit answers at any point before that and excuse themselves from the event once finished.
Winners are determined by a panel of professionals working in the field of each prompt. Winner announcements are sent out three weeks after the date of the Ideathon via email. Winners will be brought together for photos and honorary medals, and their celebratory information will be submitted to media outlets for public recognition.
All ages and backgrounds are welcome. While teams of any size are recommended, singular participants are allowed. Those under 18 must attend with a guardian and groups with members under 18 must have at least one guardian. Guardians must purchase a ticket to enter.
