What is Reiki?

For those of you not familiar with Reiki, it is a form of energy work where trained pracitioners send healing energy to recipients. It has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, as well as encourage relaxation, and is typically a very peaceful and mindful experience.

What will happen on the call?

Jen Halpern, Julie Ulrich and Eileen Savage are your Reiki practitioners. They do a regular online Animal Reiki Circle, and this time they will be sending Reiki to the Tula Vida horse herd, as well as all people and animals present on the Zoom call.

You will be guided through a group meditation to relax and get you into a space of receiving Reiki healing energy. There will be a live feed of the Tula Vida horses as they receive the Reiki too.

Join us to both support the Tula Vida herd and to experience and enjoy the Reiki energy yourself.

About Tula Vida Foundation

One of the missions of Tula Vida Foundation is to rescue and rehabilitate horses in Costa Rica.

All of the current Tula Vida horses came to us with a different story, but each in urgent need of a safe and loving home.

The Tula Vida Foundation is a US based 501c3 nonprofit that supports horses so they can get proper care and treatment, as well as recover from any traumatic, trust or anxiety issues they may have.

Just like us, horses need to feel safe, supported and part of a herd in order to heal. Here they can live together with space to forage, roam, play, rest and graze peacefully.

The other mission of Tula Vida Foundation is to provide transformational horse experiences to people without the economic means. As part of their own healing journeys, the Tula Vida horses use their unique gifts and become master teachers and healers for everyone who comes here, welcoming each person into the horse herd to find what they need.

At Tula Vida, we create transformational horse experiences where people interact with horse partners in a mindful and non-verbal way, feeling the peace and positive energy of becoming part of the natural world, connected in the herd, slowing down and listening to the insights offered by inner wisdom and instincts when the busy brain is quiet and still. We focus on relationship-based interactions which feel good for both horses and humans (and translates directly into the human-to-human world).

With your support, more horses can enjoy a healthy and happy life and can bring their natural healing gifts to more of those who need it most.

What Your Donation Supports

Funds are used to support the physical, mental, and emotional needs of our rescue horses and also other local horses in need of urgent support. This includes vet care, alfalfa, grain, hay, quality pasture, supplements, medication, parasite treatment, vaccines, hoof/teeth care and more.

We do a lot of our own veterinary care as vets are hours away and ongoing care is required, and it also keeps costs manageable. As well as using natural treatments such as ozone, colloidal silver, Reiki, acupuncture, and craniosacral, we always keep a stock of medicine to treat cuts, infections, arthritis, and more. We also purchase supplements to aid our new rescues and elders in weight gain. It has really helped horses like Imperio (seen below in the before/after photos)!

In the future, funds will also help us sponsor or subsidize transformational horse experiences and retreats in Costa Rica every year for a number of frontline workers, military personnel, healing arts professionals, and/or marginalized adults.
