Madison County Parks and Recreation Authority is hosting the 8th annual Wool and Wine Festival in Madison County on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. The festival will be in conjunction with the annual sheepdog trials.
We will be showcasing local wineries, Blue Quartz Winery, Prince Michel Winery, and Mountain Run Winery! Vendor list will be coming soon! Mi Ranchito Food Truck will be on site.
Waking Napster will provide live entertainment from 1:00-4:00 PM.
Tickets are $15 presale (ends Sunday, April 20) and $20 the day of the event. Guests who purchase a pre-sale ticket will receive a complimentary tasting glass (while supplies last). All guests under age 18 are free, with Adult General Admission tickets available for $5.00. General Admission tickets do not allow tastings or the purchase of wine.
Picnic tables are available for reservation for $10 each. Picnic tables fit up to 6 guests.
We will have a supervised children's area with Big Blue Blocks, mud kitchens, a sandbox, other activities, and a bounce house!
The event will be held rain or shine. Pop-up tents (anchored) are permitted!
Full Event Schedule:
- 8:00 AM - Sheepdog Trials Begin (free)
- 11:30 AM - Festival Area Opens, Food Vendors Open
- 12:00 PM - Wine Tasting Begins
- 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Live Music by Waking Napster
- 4:30 PM - Wine Tastings End
- 5:00 PM - All Vendor Events End
Tastings:
- Wine tastings will be available from the wine tents.
- Wine will be available for free tastings, or guests may pay by the glass or bottle.
- Only guests with tasting tickets may purchase or taste wine.
All proceeds of the Wool & Wine Festival will go to the Hoover Ridge Outdoor Recreation Center Project. Details on the project can be found at www.hooverridge.com/hrorc.
FAQs
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Guests wishing to taste wine or purchase wine must be over 21 and show a valid ID. These guests must wear their wristbands while in the festival area.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There will be designated parking areas for guests. Handicapped parking will be available.
What can I bring to the event?
We will have picnic tables available for reservation ($10 by 4/25 with ticket sales), but you may bring your own chairs, blankets, and tables. Pop-up tents are permitted along the fenceline in designated areas. Outside food and drink are NOT permitted.
**No pets are permitted at the festival. This is for the safety of the animals (sheep) on-site for the trials.
