Welcome to our first-ever Hooch Wagon Brew Fest! Inspired by the traveling salesmen who wetted the whistles of Eckley mining families, we're celebrating the Pennsylvania Coal Region's vibrant craft beer, wine, and cider making traditions.

Join us on Sat, Jul 12, 2025 starting at 4:00 PM. Sample a variety of adult beverages from more than a dozen local businesses, enjoy tasty food truck eats, tap your foot to homegrown tunes, and learn about our region's brewing history.

This fundraiser directly supports our work to preserve Eckley and tell the story of the people who powered America's industrial rise.


Frequently asked questions

What kind of ID do I need?

Please bring a driver's license, passport, or other government-issued ID with you. Each ticket-holder, including designated drivers, must present proof of age to enter the festival.

How much does a drink cost?

Beer, cider, and wine samples are included in the price of admission. Each ticket-holder will receive a limited-edition Hooch Wagon tasting glass that they can have filled at any beverage vendor station during the event.

Is there anything non-alcoholic to drink?

Yes! Our food trucks will be offering non-alcoholic options. We will also have a sponsored water tent, courtesy of Niagara Bottling.

Can I use a flask, thermos, or glass from a different beer festival?

No. Our beverage partners will only fill 2025 Hooch Wagon glasses.

Will there be bottles, cans, or growlers for sale?

Yes! In addition to offering samples, some of our vendors will have bottles or cans for you to purchase and enjoy at home. We'll have a convenient bottle check where you can pick up your purchases on your way out.

Can I bring my own food or beverages?

Please enjoy the food and beverage options provided inside the festival and do not bring in any outside food or drink.

Will there be tickets available at the gate?

Attendance is capped at 400 and is first-come, first served. So while a limited number of tickets may still be available for purchase on event day, we strongly recommend you purchase tickets in advance to guarantee your spot.

Can I bring my child?

Sorry, no one under the age of 21 will be permitted to enter the festival.

Can I bring my dog?

Eckley is dog friendly to friendly dogs. Please keep your pet leashed at all times and dispose of all animal waste in trash receptacles. Only registered service animals are permitted inside buildings.

Can I bring chairs?

Absolutely. Seating will be limited, so folding or camp chairs are encouraged.

Is the event ADA accessible?

Yes, but please be aware that Eckley Main Street is surfaced in gravel and uneven in spots. Contact us in advance if you're concerned or require specific accommodations.

Is there a rain date?

This event is rain or shine. Several covered tasting areas will be provided for you to stay dry in case of inclement weather.
