We'll be harvesting vegetables, fruits and herbs for our food giveaway in the afternoon.

Want time in a peaceful, outdoor space? Are you hoping to learn more about gardening? Would you like to help grow food for the neighbors? Join us!

Adults of all skill levels are welcome. Kids under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

Volunteers may take home some of the products that we pick.

If you would like to bring a large group to volunteer, please note we make those arrangements for groups that offer financial support.

Frequently asked questions

Will we work in the rain?

Yes! Break out your raincoat and rain boots because we'll be picking, rain or shine.

Do I need gardening experience?

No! We welcome people with all levels of experience in the garden. We're happy to show you what to do.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes! You can bring kids of any age, as long as you work with them.

What should I bring?

Please bring a water bottle. We also recommend sunscreen and any snacks you might want while you're here. We have spare work gloves, but if you have a pair you like that fits you, you should bring them.

What should I wear?

Wear clothes that can get dirty and allow you to feel comfortable in the weather of the day. For example, you might want a jacket.

Is there a bathroom? A place to eat?

Yes! THEARC Farm is located beside several buildings open to the public that have clean restrooms, a water fountain, and a cafe where you can purchase food and drinks.
