Coffee growing, roasting, and drinking is part of a worldwide culture, and Greenville, SC, has undoubtedly developed a robust local coffee scene. In early 2022, Fodor's Travel ranked Greenville, SC, 10th out of America's 22 best coffee destinations.

In this fun coffee talk by John Nolan, you'll see interesting artifacts from Greenville's coffee past and learn about the earliest roasters, retailers, cafes, and advertisements. The origins of Greenville's modern coffee culture will be explained, touching on many of the pioneer shops and those who followed.
