About this event

As the largest swamp in all of New England, the Great Swamp is a fitting name for such a spectacular place. Biodiversity is the name of the game at Great Swamp. The diverse habitats throughout the management area offers plenty of opportunities to see and hear a variety of birds. Join us as we look for early warblers and other migrants at Great Swamp.

Conditions: The trail is four miles and mildly strenuous with one hill to climb. We will be exposed without shade for over a mile and a half so sunscreen may be a good idea. There isn't a bathroom at the parking lot. The walk around the impoundment will take about three hours.

Leaders: Nick Pacelli and PCarl
