Join presenter Augusta Isley, Associate Director of PreAward Development & Outreach, Sponsored Projects Administration on Wednesday, April 2nd, 3:30-4:30 pm at the Bracken Library- Schwartz Complex Viewing Room for a workshop on grant basics for graduate students.

Applying for grants to support your academic scholarship can be daunting for even the most seasoned professional. For graduate students, being funded by a grant can accelerate their work and provide a unique set of transferable skills. This session especially targeted for graduate students, hosted in partnership with Ball State’s Sponsored Projects Administration and the Graduate School, will cover:


  1. how students can identify funding opportunities,
  2. considerations when applying for funding,
  3. getting started with grant writing and
  4. budget development basics.
