About Amanda, yoga instructor:
Amanda is a dedicated yoga instructor and fitness enthusiast based in Lake Wylie, SC, where she shares her home with her 14-year-old Pekingese, Peekaboo. After earning her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in June 2024, Amanda is passionate about creating a yoga practice that is inclusive and adaptable, welcoming individuals of all experience levels and physical abilities. She is committed to offering modifications and variations in her classes to ensure that each student can find a practice that suits their unique needs, helping them build confidence and progress at their own pace.
In addition to her 200-hour certification, Amanda holds specialty certifications in Yoga for All and Yoga and the 12 Steps of Recovery, which deepen her ability to guide individuals through their personal wellness journeys—whether they’re new to yoga or seeking healing through movement. Amanda is currently working towards an associate’s degree in Exercise Science, combining her education in fitness with her love for yoga to help others achieve optimal health and well-being. She believes that fitness should be a journey of growth and balance, with an emphasis on mindfulness, strength, and flexibility.
Whether in her classes or private sessions, Amanda strives to create a welcoming environment where students can feel confident and motivated to improve their practice. Outside of teaching, she enjoys spending time with Peekaboo, exploring nature, and continuing her studies in the fitness field.
