Michele Fowlin, Artistic Director

Prepare to be Inspired! As one of the region's most celebrated youth ensembles for 30 years, Washington Performing Arts Children of the Gospel Choir will bring a concert featuring a repertoire of traditional and contemporary gospel selections, along with spirituals and other musical genres. Under the leadership of Artistic Director, Michele Fowlin, the choir has performed with Joseph Parrish at the Kennedy Center; with Matthew Whitaker at the historic Lincoln Theatre; with Sara Bareilles at the White House; with Broadway star Matthew Morrison; at the Washington National Cathedral as part of the Inaugural Prayer Services for President Barack Obama, at the National Memorial Service for Nelson Mandela; and many other events.

Dear Friends,

We are thrilled to welcome you to the 2024 - 2025 season of the Grace Church Concert Series - our 25th anniversary season!

For the last 25 years, we have been delighted to bring world-renowned artists to our community. In addition to having a fantastic lineup for this year, we have also added two (2) concerts to the regular four (4) to extend our celebration.

This season also brings a new and exciting partnership! Sound Bites led by Artistic Director Tanya Gabrielian, is a unique collaboration between the MELERensemble, Slater Run Vineyards, Nomad Provisions, and Grace Episcopal Church - blending wine, food, and music to create a multidisciplinary feast for body and soul. The Sound Bites concerts will feature wine/food pairings at 4:00 pm in the Parish Hall, followed by the concert in the sanctuary. Join us for an immersive journey where every element is carefully connected for a memorable experience.

With four (4) Sound Bites concerts and six (6) Grace Church Concert Series concerts, this season brings a total of ten (10) performances to our community. Details of all of the events may be found on the following pages. Season subscribers and Angel Donors will receive tickets to all ten (10) concerts.

We wish to express our deep gratitude to those participating in our Grace Church Angel program. Their support allows us to bring world-class performers to our community at a reasonable price for everyone. More information about the Grace Church Angel program and ticket sales can be found in this brochure, online at gracetheplains.org, or by calling
