Please join Mike Manning for a walking tour of Port Norfolk in Dorchester. The tour will begin at the gazebo located near Venezia Restaurant at 20 Ericsson Street. We’ll explore the manufacturing history of Boston’s second port (during the 1800s) including Stearns Lumber Company, Putnam Nail, and Lawley Shipyard. We’ll also discuss a proposed and significant redevelopment of a section of Port Norfolk called Neponset Wharf.

Tour begins/ends at Venezia’s gazebo.

Total walking distance ~ 1.5 miles

Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring your own water bottle

The Friends of the Boston Harborwalk is an-all volunteer group affiliated with Boston Harbor Now. The group meets monthly to promote awareness, public enjoyment and local stewardship of Boston’s 43-mile Harborwalk.
