This event has always been a huge success! Thank you Greater Good and all my regulars.

New and Veteran players at this event have fostered an environment of community rather than cometition. Even if you are brand new to Magic we encourage you to come join us and play!

Come down to Greater Good Imperial brewing company in Worcester, Ma where you can play for FREE!

All that is needed is knowledge of MTG and yourself! Everything except food and drink will be provided for this event and the winner gets a prize!

I wanted to create an event where people could play magic without a cost. MTG, as many of you know, has become incredibly expensive and almost unattainable for a lot of people. Most people aren't able to get 7 other people together to have a full draft pod that isn't online or at a convention.

Limited is by far my favorite MTG format, I want to share what I can and make this game accessible to all who want to play.

I had a lot of fun creating all my cubes, which you will be seeing in the beginning, and I hope to inspire people to make their own cubes and bring them to future events! Feel free to follow my cubes on Cube Cobra listed below.

Pauper Cube - Commons only

Artifact Cube - So many artifacts

OG Ravnica+ Cube - Original Ravnica block with some bonuses

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to bring?

Nothing! This is a completely free event where I provide everything except food and drink, you will need money for that. Every event I bring all the cards, playmats, basic lands, dice, tokens, and prizes!

Is there parking?

Yes, Greater Good has a parking lot and plenty of spots for everyone.

This event seems really long, will food be provided or can I bring my own?

Food and drinks are available at Greater Good and no outside food or drinks are allowed. We recommend getting food and/or drinks there because it helps them out!

I am very new to MTG, would I have a good time?

Absolutely! We do require you to have at the very least an understanding of how to play MTG, but after that I can help you with any questions you may have! I want to introduce players to these formats and provide an experience that typically isn't available.

What is a Magic: the Gathering Cube?

An MTG cube is a collection of cards that are put together with synergies and archetypes in mind. There can be specific restrictions that limit the types of cards in that collection such as only commons, lots of artifacts, or only cards used from specific sets.

I've never heard of Draft or Sealed, what are they?

A draft is typically 6-8 players, every player will have 3 packs of 15 cards each. All players will open 1 pack, choose one card, and then pass it to the next person. Sealed is where each player will receive 6 packs of 15 cards each, then build a deck. Both formats use 40 card decks.

Is there any prize support for the overall winner?

Yes, the person with the best record at the end of the night will be able to choose a commander deck Precon. If there is a tie both people will get one!

Do I get to keep the cards we play with?

No, all cards are from my personal collection and all cards provided are needed for further use for the cube.

I have been playing Magic: the Gathering for about 13 years and found a love for building cubes and hosting events where people have access to MTG at no cost to them!
