This is my first public scheduled tour of the year! Come explore four distinct habitats of Powell Butte Nature Park in Portland, OR! We'll see a variety of animals, plants, and fungi along the way, and learn how each has adapted to its part of the park.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about local nature. Your guide, Rebecca Lexa, will share her knowledge about the local flora, fauna, and fungi, as well as the ecosystems they are a part of. Bring your curiosity and your questions, and allow yourself to get to know this amazing natural place more deeply.
While the trail is well maintained, Powell Butte can be steep in some places, and there are rugged areas where you may need to look out for exposed tree roots, so please wear appropriate footwear; hiking poles may also be helpful. Participants will be required to sign a liability form before we embark on the tour and agree to a code of conduct that basically boils down to "be nice to each other, and be nice to the land."
Ticket covers admission for one person. Gratuities after the tour are optional but appreciated.
