During this program, our fly-fishing instructor will go over all the basics to get you catching your first fish on a fly! This program is for ages 12+. Participants 16 and older are required to have a valid Virginia Freshwater Fishing License. We will be wading in water up to two feet deep. Closed-toe shoes are required. We recommend wearing swimming shorts/pants or waders. Waders are not provided. This program is not recommended for people with mobility issues as river rocks can be slippery.

This event could be subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather or poor river conditions.

The cost is $25 per person, and standard parking fees apply.

Pre-registration for this program is required. Limited space is available, so don't wait to register! To register or for more information, please email megan.goin@dcr.virginia.gov or call (540) 622-2262.
