OREGON BACKFLOW TRAINING

Become certified as a Backflow Assembly Tester

CCC offers five-day backflow tester certification courses approved by the Oregon Health Division. Only certified testers can perform the annual backflow assembly test required by the Oregon Plumbing Code and Water Purveyors. The Department of Human Services requires proof of high school diploma or GED certificate in order to complete the certification process.

Approved by OESAC for 3.0 Drinking Water Relevant CEUs 1.5 Wastewater CEUs

Approved Landscape Construction Professionals CEH: 40 Technical Hours

Successful completion of this course qualifies you to apply to the State of Oregon for certification as a Certified Backflow Assembly Tester. During the class, you will learn to test all approved backflow assemblies. In addition, you will learn proper installation, troubleshooting, and basic repair methods.

Student Expectations:

These workshops are Clackamas Community College courses.

All participants of this workshop will be campus students and expected to comply with the Clackamas Community College Student Code of Conduct guidelines to maintain a professional and respectful environment.

Classroom Environment:

This course is held in a classroom with an open-plan setting and no heating.

Please dress appropriately for cold or wet weather conditions as necessary.

Required materials:

Students should bring written utensils and a notepad, notebook, or paper for note-taking.

Prerequisites:

A High School Diploma or GED is not required to participate in this workshop.

However, it is required when applying for a Backflow/Cross Connection license with the State of Oregon.


REFUND & CANCELATION POLICIES:

CCC provides full refunds if you drop your classes on time. We do not provide partial refunds.

To receive a full refund, you must drop this workshop or request a refund at least 48 Hours Before the class begins.

Special Circumstances Refunds may be considered for emergencies or extenuating circumstances at the discretion of the organizers.

CCC Course Cancelations:

Workshops may be canceled due to insufficient registration, unforeseen events, or other factors.

If this workshop does get canceled, participants will be notified (through e-mail) and full refunds will be provided.
