Join us at Vita@KEXP on the first Friday of every month to taste a brand-new limited single origin sourced by our coffee roasters & green coffee team. Our First Friday Cuppings are hosted by our experienced team of barista trainers and cafe educators, led by 2019 US Barista Champion Sam Spillman.

Dive in (spoon first) to the world of specialty coffee with us. Develop your coffee-tasting palate, learn about coffee processing, and find your new favorite coffee with Caffe Vita! These public tastings are fun, casual, and free to attend.

Do I need to have cupped before?

No! We want coffee lovers of all experience levels to attend. Whether you've worked in coffee for years, or you're just learning to brew at home, we make sure every attendee walks away with new knowledge of coffee or our offerings.

What is a single origin?

Single origin coffees are coffees that come from a single farm or farming region. These coffees are typically grown on a small area of a coffee farm (micro-lot) and are given heightened attention to their growth and processing & are roasted lighter to highlight their innate qualities.

Is the KEXP Gathering Space wheelchair accessible?

From their beginnings at the base of Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood, they now operate 9 cafes throughout Seattle, New York, and now Phoenix. Caffe Vita coffee is always fresh, imported directly from the farm, and roasted on-site.
