About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Living the life of a writer includes making space for celebration all along the way—not just at the end. In this session, we’ll explore how to honor students’ growth, effort, and voices throughout the writing process. From informal sharing moments to more formal publishing opportunities, you’ll leave with ideas for creating a classroom culture where writing is seen, valued, and celebrated at every stage.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to participate?

Please come with a way to write down ideas — this could mean having a notebook, paper, a writing utensil, or a digital way to capture ideas.

Do I need any experience as a writer to attend this workshop?

Nope! All teachers are welcome. We’ll meet you where you are.

Will I need to share my writing?

There will be opportunities to share BUT you always have the right to pass. If you prefer not to share your own writing, you can share your thoughts about the learning…but again, only if you want to. You always have the right to pass.
