In addition to an incredible program, you will be amazed at the incredible architecture, the wonderful artwork, and the cultural artifacts located throughout the embassy.

Featuring:

LIVE AND EXCLUSIVE PEKING OPERA: Experience the allure of the Beijing Opera! In conjunction with the DC Beauty of Beijing Opera (DCBBO), we will be privy to an incredible afternoon of its music, dance, costumes, and the experience as if you were visiting the Opera in China’s capital. Today’s exclusive performance will showcase the Beijing Opera’s classics, accompanied by narration and bilingual subtitles.

Before and afterward, we will have the opportunity to interact with the hosts and learn basic performing skills, make up, trying on Beijing Opera costumes, etc.

Meet Minister Jing Quan and diplomats from the Embassy of China who will be on hand to answer questions you may have about Chinese culture, Chinese-American Relations, visiting China, etc. A special welcome will be offered by a member of the embassy. (The ambassador has been invited to address the group and we are hoping he can attend)
