Emerald Cut is a true gem. Named for its incredible water color, this tour begins near the headwaters of Rock Springs where pure, clean water flows from the underground aquifer to the surface.
Paddling upstream with fresh muscles, we’ll navigate the gentle current amongst the narrow, canopied paddle trail, bordered by gorgeous flora and massive palms, oaks, and cypress trees. It's a nature lover's delight, surrounded by wild Florida jungle and wildlife like turtles, deer, birds, and the occasional otter.
We’ll stop to relax at a sandbar, eat lunch, and cool off in a waist-deep, refreshing pool. Then we'll cruise back with the current, with effortless paddling but lots of quick, exciting turns and maneuvering. We’ll finish the adventure with a splash in the swimming hole.

Bring: Water, towel, dry bag, snacks/picnic lunch, and a dry change of clothes. If you're bringing your own paddle craft, a life vest and whistle are required by law.
Wear: reef safe sunscreen, hat, sunglasses (with straps), apparel that is easy to move in and can get wet (like dry wicking workout clothes or swimwear).
Time: Arrive at 8:30a or as early as 8a if you're bringing your own gear so you have enough time to get it ready to launch at 9a (this means boards fully inflated, etc).
Location: There will likely be a line of cars to get to the entrance of Rock Springs at Kelly Park. You do not have to wait in that line. If there is a police officer directing traffic, you can tell them you're going to Kings Landing. If not, when it is safe, put your hazard lights on and pass the line of traffic in the opposite lane.
Parking is located on the side of the street leading to Kings Landing entrance. First, pull all the way into Kings Landing and unload your belongings at the "unloading zone". Then exit and park as close as you can to the entrance. There is a small store with snacks and drinks for purchase and two rustic restrooms on site.
P ark Rules: No pets, alcohol, styrofoam or glass allowed. Non-disposable containers for snacks and drinks are encouraged.
BOOKING AND CANCELLATION: Per King's Landing's Reservation Policy, we must make and pay for launch reservations in advance, therefore registration and refund requests must be made with 48 hours notice. Also, the event is rain or shine. If King's Landing cancels the reservation due to closing for unsafe weather conditions, you will be issued a full refund.
IMPORTANT: In the event of inclement weather, you will be notified via Eventbrite email at least 3 hours prior to start time of a reschedule. We only reschedule so your experience will be safe and enjoyable.
