About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

March is the best time to hear spring peepers, see salamanders, glimpse the first spring flowers and hear the birds returning to their nesting grounds. On this hike we will learn about who and what signs of spring we can find at the Desert Natural Area.

We will meet at the trail head kiosk at 1:00 PM at the Concord Rd. parking lot at intersection of Concord Rd. and Mosher Lane across from 1100 Concord Rd. If parking lot is full you can park on Mosher Ln. This walk is appropriate for anyone who is comfortable walking on natural forest trails.

Please dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes- we could have snow, ice or muddy conditions. In case of bad weather, on March 22nd the walk will be rescheduled to Sunday, March 23rd from 1-3pm and you will be notified by email.
